presenter Sara Damergi has revealed the strict measures in place to ensure the cast don't go above the 90 days within 180 days allowed in the EU since Brexit.

Speaking exclusively to the property expert, who can also be seen on the upcoming revisit show A Place In The Sun: What Happened Next? admits they have to keep a record of their travels.

"In the old days, I used to travel all the time, but now I've got kids it's actually the perfect balance for me, because I wouldn't be working the same amount of time abroad as I was, anyway, because the children are young - I've got a four year old and a six year old.

"So it (Brexit) hasn't really affected me by the amount I'm working. And, we have a running clock of how many days that we're out of the country.

"The production company keep a tally of that, and we have to make them aware of when we travel personally as well," she said.

"So everything's sort of kept (on record) so we don't make any mistakes in terms of our time away so it's been fine."

Sara also admitted Brexit restrictions hadn't dampened people's appetites for buying in the EU despite people predicting it would mark the end of the show.

"When Brexit happened people saying, 'Oh, that will be the end of A Place In The Sun', or that will be the end of people's dreams to move abroad.

"And it didn't really affect people at all in the way that (people thought). There's obviously more red tape, but there are ways around things. People still have that dream, and I think they always will still have that dream (of a home abroad)," she pondered.

Although she has reduced her travelling Sara admits her children do get jealous when she is away as they think she is on holiday.

"It's the worst," she laughs. "Because they have travelled with me, and they are on holiday when I'm working.

"So they are so jealous when I go away. They'll be like, 'Why can't we come? Why do we have to go to school?'

"So they do get quite jealous about it," she said.

A Place In The Sun is on Channel 4 weekdays at 6pm. A Place In The Sun: What Happened Next? is back soon.
