Bengaluru: The Department of Pre-University Education has released the academic calendar for the 2025-26 session. As per the schedule, the first and second-year PU classes will commence on June 2, 2025.

The admission process for first-year PU will begin on the first working day after the SSLC results are announced. Meanwhile, the second-year PU admissions will start from May 22.

The first term will run from June 2 to September 21, and the second term will be from October 8, 2025, to March 31, 2026. Mid-term holidays are scheduled from September 22 to October 7. Practical classes will begin on June 16.

The first unit test will be held between August 11 and 14, and the first attendance shortage list will be announced on September 12, followed by a parent-teacher meeting on September 16.

In the second term, mid-term exams are scheduled from October 9 to 27, the second attendance shortage list on December 11, another parent-teacher meeting on December 16, and the second unit test from December 19 to 22.

For first-year PU students, practical exams will be held between January 2 and 13, 2026, while the annual exams will be from February 10 to 25, 2026. The results will be declared on March 31, 2026.

For second-year PU students, preparatory exams will be held from January 5 to 20, practical exams from January 21 to February 14, and final board exams from February 26 to March 21, 2026.
