Detectorists was a fan-favourite comedy until its conclusion in 2022, so what has the cast been up to since it came to an end?
Award winning sitcom Detectorists first made its debut on Four in October 2014, following the personal lives and the ambitions of the Danebury Metal Detecting Club.
Not only did the three-season sitcom win the 2015 BAFTA for Television Scripted Comedy, it was also in Radio Times' list of Britain's 20 favourite sitcoms as voted by writers and actors in the industry.
Three years since its final episode aired and with the comedy now showing on BBC Two every Wednesday at 10pm, let's take a look at what the cast has been doing.
Where is the cast of Detectorists now? Andy - Mackenzie CrookGood-hearted but immature and self-absorbed Andy was played by actor Mackenzie Crook who also co-wrote and directed Directorists.
Away from the comedy, Crook is famed for starring in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise as Ragetti.
Since the end of Detectorists, things have been a little quiet for Crook, having only worked on the podcast series Bleak House in 2024.
However, according to his IMDb page, he is now working on the adventure series The Wayfinders, which follows "three highschoolers [who are] mistakenly transported to a brutal medieval world".
Actor Toby Jones, who also co-wrote and directed Detectorists is behind the honest and somewhat naive Lance.
Jones is definitely no stranger to the small screen with a plethora of shows in recent years, most notably ITV's Mr Bates Vs The Post Office where he played the titular figure.
Some of his other parts have been in The Long Shadow, The Instigators and A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story.
He also has a number of projects lined up, including The Hack with David Tennant, Flavia with Martin Freeman and the film Mr Burton with Lesley Manville.
Maggie - Lucy BenjaminLance's ex-wife was self-centered Maggie who ran the New Age supplies shop and portrayed by actress Lucy Benjamin.
She famously portrayed Lisa Fowler in EastEnders but following her stint in Detectorists, she has been in The Dumping Ground, Doctors and Look To The Light.
Last year, Benjamin also featured in the Paramount+ drama Curfew as DCU Sue Ferguson.
Primary school teacher and Andy's girlfriend-turned-wife Becky was brought to life by actress Rachael Stirling.
Prior to Detectorists, she had been in various series such as Tipping The Velvet, The Young Victoria, Grantchester, Life and Hollington Drive.
In 2023, Stirling featured in a couple of episodes of the Netflix coming-of-age drama Heartstopper as Amanda Olsson and then played Rebekah Chaban in The Chelsea Detective.
Terry Seymour - Gerard HoranRetired policeman and president of the DMC (Danebury Metal Detecting Club) is played by actor Gerard Horan.
Remembered for starring as firefighter Leslie "Charisma" Appleby in London's Burning, actor Horan has had minor roles most recently in Death In Paradise and Father Brown and was behind Enright in Belgravia: The Next Chapter and Hilgard in The Outlaws.
He is now working on the comedy crime series Go Away!, which is currently in post-production, which he'll star in alongside the likes of Hugh Bonneville and Michael Socha.
Sheila Seymour - Sophie ThompsonTerry's wife Sheila Seymour is portrayed by actress Sophie Thompson who EastEnders fans may best associate her with villain Stella Crawford.
Following her time in Detectorists, she has been in SisterS, Silo, Belgravia: The Next Chapter, Inside No.9 and Time Travel Is Dangerous.
Detectorists is available to watch every Monday at 10pm on BBC Two.
