are likely to experience scorching temperatures of 23C, the for BBC has suggested. According to BBC weather forecast, the temperature levels are likely to increase directly from 19C to 23C this weekend, however, the Met Office paints a different picture.

The Met Office's latest forecast stated that the mercury levels will soar to 21C, two degrees below what BBC has predicted. At London Heathrow, which is mostly considered the hottest part of the country, will see extreme temperatures above 21C.

Warm and dry weather is expected to continue in most areas through the coming days ahead of above-average heat on Friday and Saturday - which "will be close" to the year's temperature record.

The Met Office explained: "High pressure continues to bring fine weather with plenty of warm sunshine by day. Cooler near the North Sea coast with cloudier skies developing across the east from Wednesday."

Netweather.tv also said that Friday looks warm for southern Britain with temperatures widely in the high teens and just into the low 20s Celsius.

It further stated: "The westerly breeze will reach over more of Scotland, bringing cloud and patchy rain from the Atlantic, but don't write off the day as brighter gaps will appear. Saturday also looks warm and fine, just frontal rain and cloud lurking away in the far northwest."

Even the WXCharts maps show that several areas in England will be blasted by the hot weather conditions. Areas around Leeds and Manchester may also see high temperatures of 19C-20C, the weather maps have suggested.
