In today's digital era, smartphones have become an important part of our life. Most people keep two SIMs in their phone – one for daily calls and data, and the other for backup or special needs. But the hassle of keeping the second sim on and the tension of expensive recharge used to bother everyone. Now this problem has come out! The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has implemented a rule that will keep the second SIM active for just 20 rupees, without burdening your pocket. Hearing this news is not a place of happiness of crores of users. So let's know how this new rule is going to make your life easier.

New rule, new relief

TRAI has recently changed its rules and gave a big gift to two SIM users. Now, even if your second SIM is not used for 90 days, you will still have to recharge it for 20 rupees to protect it from being deactivated. With this small amount, your SIM will be operational for the next 30 days. Earlier, where expensive plans had to be taken, now this affordable method is proving to be a boon for everyone. Whether you use the number of Jio, Airtel, Vodafone-Idea or BSNL, this feature is applicable to all.

How will this rule work?

This rule is very easy to understand. Suppose you use your second SIM and do not use any call, message or data from it for 90 days. Earlier, telecom companies used to close it, but now it will not happen. After 90 days you will get additional time of 20 days. During this time, if there is a balance in your SIM, the company will deduct 20 rupees and keep it active for 30 days. If there is no balance, you can still turn it on with cheap recharge. That is, now the tension of the number closure is over!

What is the use of users?

For those who keep two SIMs, these rules are no less than a gift. Especially for those who keep their second SIM for the old number or emergency. Now neither you will worry about expensive recharge, nor fear of losing number every month. This step will not only save your money, but will also help telecom companies to manage the number. In rural areas where people want connectivity at low cost, these rules will also prove to be a game-changer.
