Vijayawada saw a sharp increase in gold prices today, April 9, 2025. Based on current prices, 10 grammes of 22-carat gold are now selling for Rs. 82,900, up Rs. 650, while 10 grammes of 24-carat gold are now trading for Rs. 90,440, up Rs. 710.

In contrast, the price of silver is Rs. 1,02,000 per kilogramme.


On the global market, the price of gold has been erratic. During the wedding season, gold prices have dropped during the last several weeks, averaging about Rs. 80,000 for 10 grammes of 24-carat gold and Rs. 70,000 for 10 grammes of 22-carat gold.
