Obnews Automobile Desk: Today, there is a competition around the world for mileage and fuel efficiency. Cars had already become available in CNG and hybrid variants, while now the bike segment is also growing rapidly in this direction. Bajaj recently introduced the country's first CNG motorcycle, but earlier Yamaha launched India's first hybrid motorcycle, a new milestone in terms of both mileage and technology.
Yamaha's FZ-S FI Hybrid bike has been introduced with 149cc blukeor engine, which follows the OBD-2B emission norms. Its special thing is Yamaha's Smart Motor Generator (SMG) technology, which gives hybrid power to the bike. Along with SMG, this bike also has Stop & Start System (SSS), which plays an important role in petrol savings.
The SMG technology engaged in the bike gives battery-ported acceleration to the engine. When there is intermittent running condition during traffic, it reduces the load on the technology engine. At the same time, the Stop & Start System bike automatically closes during a traffic signal or obstruction and as soon as the clutch is pressed, the bike starts again. This feature saves petrol a lot.

Although Yamaha has not yet revealed the official mileage, according to the riders, this bike gives a mileage of about 60 kilometers in a liter. Its ex-showroom price starts at ₹ 1.44 lakhs, which makes it a smart and fuel-economic bike of the 150cc segment.
